We even spotted a man happily walking through the hotel in his shorts on white complimentary hotel slippers. I think you missed a word here.

I was wondering how you ended up reviewing the hotel. Nice job.

The only comment is that this sentence felt awkward to me.
As a regular middle class hotel visitor, I only really noticed in this 5 star hotel how big of a positive impact great service can have on your day.
I know what you are saying, but it reads a bit funny.

Nice job though. I am inspired by your huevos to go after this complimentary stay. I hope to follow in your footsteps.

I loved the beginning and the end. Having been to Istanbul and other places in Turkey, I can appreciate the being called out to in the accented English of Turkish men. I also like your descriptions of the place...it is so beautiful. Nicely woven with the historic facts.

I like this story :)

However, there are 2 knobs on any radiator that you can turn to regulate the amount of heat... :) By default it's usually fully opened. Though it's true you cannot regulate the exact temperature, you should be able to make it less hot.
